For this week we have:
- 6 ears of bi-color corn
- 2 heads of lettuce
- 2 quarts of white peaches
- 2 quarts of yellow peaches
- 5 zucchini
- yellow squash
- quart of red sugar plums
- bunch of onions
- quart of new potatoes

Tips for keep your produce fresh:
The corn and other vegetables should be kept refrigerated to maintain freshness.  If it is a hot day, and your lettuce is starting to get limp, just wash with some water and put it back in the plastic bag in the fridge. When maintained properly, this lettuce will last more than a week.  These are also fresh onions, so they should be kept in the fridge as well.  Please treat like a scallion and use some of the greens.
For the fruit, I recommend putting a third to a half of your fruit in your fruit bowl when you get home with the remainder in the fridge.  Then, as you eat your fruit, gradually take more out.  This will keep it from all ripening at once. Some people are afraid to keep their fruit cold, but we do this as soon as we pick it to stop it from ripening any further.  Just try to eat it all by the end of the week.

Enjoy!

All the fruit and vegetables are amazing! This is the first CSA I’ve ever joined and I would definetly do it again. I’ve never had better beets or lettuce! Who knew lettuce could taste so good? I’ve been making Sweet Potato and Zucchini bread, thanks to epicurious recipe, friends say it’s the best they’ve had, could it be the zucchini?
